Supported features

The following features and functionality are available with a Delinea Platform integration.

Feature Description
Push new users
  • You can create new users in Delinea Platform when you assign the app to users in Okta. Delinea Platform sends an email invite, and the account status shows Invited until the user first signs in, then it changes to Active.
  • The username is the only required attribute for account creation. First name, last name, email, and phone number are optional.
  • This integration treats the username and email as the same value.
  • You can assign roles at creation time.
Push profile updates
  • You can update the following attributes: first name, last name, and mobile phone number.
  • You can update entitlements when Okta Identity Governance is enabled.
  • Username and email are immutable after account creation.
Push user deactivation Deactivating a user or removing their app assignment in Okta suspends the account in Delinea Platform. This is a suspension, not a deletion. The account and its data remain intact, and you can reactivate the account later.
Push user reactivation Reassigning or reactivating a user in Okta restores the account to an active state in Delinea Platform.
Import new users Okta imports only user accounts in an active-eligible state, such as Invited, Created, or Active. Disabled or suspended accounts, and Delinea Platform's own service and API accounts, are excluded automatically.
Push groups
  • You can push groups and their members to Delinea Platform. See Manage Group Push.
  • This integration supports only local groups in Delinea Platform.
  • The group name must be unique among all local groups in Delinea Platform.
  • Changes to a group's name or description in Okta are pushed to Delinea Platform.
Entitlement Management
  • This app supports entitlement management. Enable this feature if you use Okta Identity Governance.
  • Both system roles and custom roles are supported under a single User Roles entitlement, which is multi-select and required in Okta Identity Governance.
  • The built-in Platform Admin and Platform User roles are available as assignable values alongside any custom roles defined in the tenant.
Push Password Updates
  • Changes that are made to your password through Okta automatically synchronizes to the Delinea Platform.
