This page lists the currently supported versions of various tools and technologies used or supported by Okta Access Gateway.

Supported technology

Transport Level Security (TLS): v1.0: not supported by default. v1.1: supported, enabled, can be disabled. See NGINX to disable TLS 1.1. v1.2, v1.3: supported, enabled, can't be disabled.

Hashing Algorithm	SHA256

VMWare ESXi, vSphere, and vSphere Client version 6.5 and later support SHA-256OVF files.

To convert from SHA256 to SHA1:

$ ovftool --shaAlgorithm=SHA1 /path/to/the/original/ova_file.ova /path/to/the/new/ova/file-SHA1.ova

Underlying hardware

Access Gateway uses the SSE4.2 extensions to the x64 instruction set, which became available with the release of the Intel® Nehalem and AMD Bulldozer microarchitectures. The server that runs the Access Gateway virtual appliance must support this instruction set.
