Edit deactivated user profiles

You can use this option to update deactivated user profiles in Okta. Updated values aren't imported into Okta or pushed to downstream apps.

  1. In the Admin Console, go to DirectoryPeople.

  2. Click More ActionsEdit Deactivated User Profile Updates.
  3. Click Allow updates to deactivated users. If this feature is enabled, you can disable it by following the previous steps and clicking Stop updates to deactivated users.
  4. Select the deactivated user account that you want to edit and then perform your desired edits.

To disable the ability to update deactivated users, repeat steps 1 and 2, and then click Stop updates to deactivated users.
