Profile MasterA profile master is an application (usually a directory service such as Active Directory, or human capital management system such as Workday) that acts as a source of truth for user profile attributes. A user can only be mastered by a single application or directory at any one time. For more details, see the Profile Master page. When users are mastered by attribute, we call this attribute-level mastery (ALM). ALM delivers finer grain control over how profiles are mastered by allowing admins to specify different profile masters for individual attributes. Profile mastering only applies to Okta user profiles, not app user profiles. For more details, see Attribute Level Mastering.

Makes SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central the profile master. Enterprise or Enterprise Plus versions of Okta are required for this option.

Pre-start Interval

When Profile Mastering is enabled, this feature allows importation of an user account into Okta before the user's official start date. The interval is the number of days (prior to a SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central user’s stated Worker/Employee Date) before Okta evaluates a SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central user for early import. When this feature is enabled, Okta evaluates the pre-hire date and, if it falls within the set interval, user data is imported into Okta and a user profile with an active status is created.

Post-Termination Interval

This feature permits late deactivation of SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central users. The Okta user profile remains active after their end or termination date in SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central. The interval is the number of days (after a SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central user's stated end date) after Okta evaluates a SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central user for deactivation. When this feature is enabled, Okta evaluates the SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Post Termination date, and the user profile remains active in Okta for the defined number days, after the user's termination or end date.
