End User Password Reset

Your Okta-mastered end usersIn Okta literature, we generally refer to "end users" as the people who have their own Okta home page (My Applications), using chiclets to authenticate into all of their apps. End users do not have any administrative control. When we refer to "users" we are generally referring to the individual(s) who have administrative control. can easily reset their own passwords when needed by doing the following:

  1. From the Okta Home page, click the drop-down menu next to your name, then select Settings.

  1. On the Settings page, find the Change Password section and click the Edit Profile button.

  2. Before any changes can be made, end usersIn Okta literature, we generally refer to "users" as the people who serve as Okta administrators. When we refer to "end users" we are generally referring to the people who the administrators serve. That is, those who use Okta chiclets to access their apps, but have no administrative control. are prompted to verify using their second factor authentication, if multifactor authentication is configured.

  3. In the Change Password section, enter the current and new passwords.
