Configure Group Linking
This procedure explains how to configure Group Linking.
To determine if your app integration supports Group Linking, check the Provisioning section of the app in the Okta Integration Network integration catalog. See Okta Integration Network. An app must have provisioning enabled for you to configure Group Linking. See Configure provisioning for an app integration.
When an app group is linked to an Okta group, the app group doesn't appear in the groups listed under . When this link is removed, the app group appears in the list.

In the Admin Console, go to .
- Select an app integration.
- Click the Push Groups tab.
- Click Refresh App Groups to update any imports or changes that occurred in the third-party app. This ensures that all groups from the target app are represented in Okta.
- Optional. If you want to rename a group in the third-party app to match the name in Okta when linking, perform the following steps:
- Click the Group Push Settings icon
, and then select Rename app groups to match group name in Okta. - Click Save.
- Click the Group Push Settings icon
- Click Push Groups.
- In the Pushed Groups list, click By name and enter a keyword in the Search field.
- When the group appears in the table, click the Match results and push action dropdown menu and select an option:
- Create Group: Creates a group in the target app and links it to the Okta group. This approach provides Group Push without enhanced functionality.
- Link Group: Links the Okta group to an existing group in the target app. Use the dropdown menu to find an existing group in the target app by keyword.
