Get started with Okta Verify on Windows devices

Okta Verify is an app that helps protect your data, ensuring that only you can access your app accounts.

Note for administrators: Okta Verify for Windows is only available on Okta Identity Engine.

If your IT department didn't already install Okta Verify on your device, install the app when prompted. If the app isn't available on your device contact your administrator.

Before you get started with Okta Verify, obtain your organization’s sign-in URL. It might be available in an activation email that you received from your administrator.

Open Okta Verify. Click Start and search for Okta Verify or click the desktop shortcut. If the app is running, right-click Okta Verify from the system tray. Click Get startedAdd account and follow the instructions in the wizard.

A message confirms that your account was added successfully. When you access apps protected by Okta, you can now authenticate with Okta FastPass on your computer.

You can also enroll in other authenticators such as Yubikey or SMS and use these security methods to authenticate.
