Get started with Okta Verify on Linux devices

Okta Verify helps to ensure that only you can access your Okta-protected apps.

Note:

Note for administrators: Okta Verify for Linux is only available on Okta Identity Engine.

Choose one of the following options to set up Okta Verify on your Linux device.

IT-initiated setup

If your IT department prompts you to set up Okta Verify on your Linux device, follow their instructions to install the app and set up your account.

Successful setup results in a confirmation message.
Enroll from an existing account

If you already have an Okta Verify account on another device, you can enroll your Linux device from your Okta End-User Dashboard.
1. On your Linux device, open a browser and sign in to your org's Okta End-User Dashboard.
2. Select the arrow next to your name and go to Account settings.
3. In the Security methods section, go to Okta Verify and select Set up another.
  Follow the setup instructions.

If you can't install and set up Okta Verify, contact your IT administrator.
