Get started with Okta Verify on Windows devices

Okta Verify is an authentication app. It helps ensure that only you can access your apps protected by Okta.

Note for administrators: Okta Verify for Windows is only available on Okta Identity Engine.

  • If your IT department prompts you to set up Okta Verify on your Windows device, follow the instructions to install the app and set up your account. If your setup is successful, you receive a confirmation message.

  • If you already have an Okta Verify account on another device, you can enroll your Windows device from the Okta dashboard Settings page:

    1. On your Windows device, open a browser and sign in to your organization's Okta End-User Dashboard.
    2. Click the arrow next to your name and go to Settings.
    3. In the Security methods section, go to Okta Verify and click Set up another. Follow the setup instructions.

If you can't install and set up Okta Verify, contact your IT administrator.
