Add an Oracle BI Enterprise Edition application
Configure an Oracle BI Enterprise Edition application using the Access Gateway Admin UI console.
Architecture
Before you begin
Ensure that:
- Verify that Access Gateway is installed and configured. See Manage Access Gateway deployment.
- Verify that Access Gateway uses your Okta org as an Identity Provider (IdP). See Configure an Identity Provider in Access Gateway.
- Verify that you have administrator rights on your Okta org and can create groups and assign applications.
- The protected Oracle BI Enterprise Edition resource trusts incoming messages and supports Single Sign-On (SSO) (user identity and SSO cookie in header).
- You're using a supported external app. Access Gateway supports the following versions of Oracle Business Enterprise Edition:
- Oracle BI Enterprise Edition 11g with latest patchset
- Oracle BI Enterprise Edition 12.1
- Oracle BI Enterprise Edition 12.2
- Appropriate DNS entries for the legacy application and its external URL exist.
- Appropriate DNS entries for the protected application and its external URL exist. For example:
Value Description https://obiee.externalexample.com External or customer facing application URL. https://obiee.internalexample.com Internal or protected application URL of an Oracle BI Enterprise Edition application.
This application uses header variables to exchange user information. You can use the Access Gateway sample header application. See Add a generic header application and Add a sample header application.
