System menu
The System menu allows you to change the hostname, install or remove a package, perform an update, reboot, shut down, or reset the Access Gateway instance.
Select 5 to open the System submenu.
System commands
- Change Hostname: Change the hostname of the Access Gateway instance.
- Install Package: Install a named packaged.
- Remove Package: Remove a named package.
- Update: Update the system.
- Reboot: Reboot the system.
- Shutdown: Shut down the system.
- Reset: Reset the system to its original default settings.
- High Availability: Configure and manage Access Gateway High Availability.
- Enable FIPS Mode: Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) mode provides cryptographic protection that's compatible with United States federal government standards.
- Launch Shell: Open the Access Gateway Privileged Shell.
Change Hostname
- Press 1 to change the hostname. The current hostname appears.
- Enter the new hostname, and then press Enter.
- Press y to confirm.
- Press Enter to return to the System menu.
Install Package
- Press 2 to install a new package.
- Enter a package name, and then press Enter.
- Press y to confirm.
- Press Enter to return to the System menu.
Remove Package
- Press 3 to remove an existing package.
- Enter a package name, and then press Enter.
- Press y to confirm.
- Press Enter to return to the System menu.
Update

Reset
- Press 7 to reset.
- Enter y to proceed or n to cancel.
- The system returns all settings to their default values.
- The gateway appliance shuts down after a reset. Restart the gateway appliance.
High Availability
The High Availability menu includes these options:- Reset: Reset the node keys.
- Prepare Admin: Prepare an administration node to connect to a new worker node.
- Prepare Worker: Prepare a node to become a worker node.
- List Nodes: List all worker nodes. This option only appears on the admin node.
- Remove Node: Remove a known worker node. This option only appears on the admin node.
- Check Status: Check high-availability status.
- Cluster Manager: Perform a rolling upgrade of a worker node to an admin node using the Cluster Manager.
Enable FIPS Mode
Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) mode provides cryptographic protection that's compatible with United States federal government standards.

Launch Shell
The Support Connection feature has been removed from Access Gateway. Okta Support can no longer access your Access Gateway Management console remotely.
You can open the Access Gateway Privileged Shell to run Linux commands and share your screen with Okta Support instead.
Use the Access Gateway Privileged Shell only if you're an experienced Linux administrator. Running commands in this shell can result in changes to your Access Gateway installation that could cause Access Gateway to stop running.
- Press 0 (zero) to open the Access Gateway Privileged Shell.
- The warning message appears. Press Y to continue.
- The Access Gateway command prompt appears.
- Run Linux commands at the command prompt.
