View device attributes

You can view the attributes of a device on the [device_name] page. The page name reflects the device name, which is different for each device, so this procedure references the page name as [device_name].

There are two ways to navigate to a [device_name] page:

  • From the Devices page:

    1. In the Admin Console, go to Directory > Devices.

    2. In the Device info column, click a device name.

  • From the People page:

    1. In the Admin Console, go to Directory > People.

    2. In the Person & username column, click a user's name.

    3. Click the Devices tab.

    4. In the Device name column, click a device name.

The [device_name] page includes the following device attributes:

This information is not collected by Okta Verify, but a custom application can collect it.

       
MEID

The Mobile Equipment Identifier (MEID). A unique number for identifying a mobile device on a CDMA network.

This information is not collected by Okta Verify, but a custom application can collect it.

Security identifier The security identifier (SID). A unique number of a user, user group, or other security principal.       S-1-83625951649466-0
Dedicated hardware Indicates if dedicated hardware exists for a Trusted Platform Module (TPM).

Note that the unique identifier (hash) is not shown for devices with a Trusted Platform Module (TPM). Instead, the placeholder Present - No hash available appears.
