Table 1. Supported features table
Feature Description
Push new users
  • Okta provisions new users created in Okta in Toggl through an invitation flow.
  • The email field is required.
  • The default user role is member.
  • Note: You can't deactivate users who haven't accepted their invite (joined: false) until they accept it.
  • Note: Toggl automatically sets the user's full name to the part of their email address before the @ symbol.
  • To prevent 429 errors caused by API behavior, avoid provisioning users through groups.
Push profile updates
  • Okta pushes updates made to a user in Okta to their active Toggl account.
  • You can update the Role parameter only when you enable Entitlement Management.
Push user deactivation
  • Deactivating a user or disabling their access to the app in Okta deactivates their account in Toggl.
  • Note: You can only deactivate users who have joined (joined: true). You can't deactivate users who haven't accepted their invitation.
Import new users
  • Okta only imports active user accounts from Toggl. Okta doesn't import invited users.
  • Note: Okta only tracks assignments for users who accepted their invitation and joined Toggl. When Okta imports users, it automatically clears any assignments associated with pending invites.
Reactivate users

Reactivating or enabling a user in Okta reactivates their Toggl account.

Entitlement Management
  • Toggl supports Entitlement Management. If you use Okta Identity Governance, you must enable this feature.
  • You can optionally assign roles to accounts.
  • This integration only supports the following four roles: admin, user, projectlead, and teamlead.
Push groups
  • You can push groups and their members to Toggl. See Manage Group Push.
  • You can update group display names and members.
  • You can't manage roles for groups from Okta. You can only manage them from the Toggl admin console.
