Manage resource collection apps

You can manage which apps are included in a resource collection and their selected entitlements. This includes adding apps to the collection, removing them, and setting the available entitlements.

Before you begin

  • Sign in as a super admin or an admin with the following permissions:

    • Manage applications

    • Manage collections

    • Edit application's user assignments

    • Edit groups' application assignments or Edit users' application assignments.

      See Custom admin roles and Role permissions.

  • Ensure that you're assigned to the Okta Access Requests app.

Add an app to a resource collection

  1. In the Admin Console, go to Identity GovernanceResource Collections.

  2. Search for the collection to which you want to add apps. Click View for that collection.
  3. Click the Resources tab and then click Add apps.
  4. Search for the app integration that you want to add to the collection and select it.
  5. Optional. If any entitlements are available for the app, you can select your desired entitlements from the Select entitlements page. Click Done.
  6. Optional. Repeat the previous two steps to add more apps and their associated entitlements to the collection.
  7. Click Save. The apps are added to the collection.

Remove an app from a resource collection

  1. In the Admin Console, go to Identity GovernanceResource Collections.

  2. Search for the collection from which you want to remove an app. Click View for that collection.
  3. Click the Resources tab.
  4. Search for the app that you want to remove from the collection. Click Remove app from the action menu for the app.
  5. Click Remove app. A message appears to confirm that the app was removed from the collection.

Edit selected entitlements for an app in a resource collection

Follow these steps to set the time after which a user loses their access to a resource collection.

  1. In the Admin Console, go to Identity GovernanceResource Collections.

  2. Search for the collection for which you want to edit its entitlements. Click View for that collection.
  3. Click the Resources tab.
  4. Search for the app whose entitlements you want to edit. Click Edit entitlements from the action menu for the app.
  5. Select the entitlements to include in the collection, and remove any unnecessary entitlements. Click Done.
  6. Click Save.
