Configure the Okta AI agent profile

Customize the AI agent profile in Okta by defining default and custom attributes.

About this task

The Okta AI agent profile has four base attributes: name, description, platform, and external ID. The name attribute is required, and the name and external ID must be unique. These attributes are read-only and can’t be changed.

The Okta AI agent profile also accepts custom attributes, which can be a string, integer, or Boolean, and can be optional or required.

Before you begin

  • You have permission to manage your org's AI agents.

Procedure

  • View attributes

    1. In the Admin Console, go to Directory > Profile Editor .
    2. Go to the AI agents tab.
    3. Select the AI agent profile.
    4. Use the All Attributes, Base attributes, and Custom attributes tab to view the respective attribute type.
  • Configure custom attributes
    1. Go to the AI agent profile and click Add custom attribute.
    2. Provide the following details:
      • Display name: The name of the custom attribute as it should appear in the UI
      • Variable name: The variable that's used in profile mappings and expressions
      • Description: A description of the custom attribute
      • Data type: Select string, integer, or Boolean
    3. Optional. If the attribute is a string or integer, select Define enumerate list of values (Enum) to add enumeration.
      • Enter a display name and value.
      • Click Add another enum to define additional enumeration.
    4. Optional. Select the Attribute is mappable to an import source or Attribute is Okta-sourced and editable data source.
    5. Optional. Select Mark as required to make the attribute mandatory. If the attribute isn't mapped to an attribute in the provider app, all future import from the provider app fail.
    6. Click Save.
    7. Repeat these steps for every custom attribute that you want to configure.
