Database accounts
Early Access release
Database accounts live within projects in a resource group. You can extend secure privileged access to users, automate lifecycle management for server accounts, and eliminate the need for credential management.
View checked out accounts
Resource admins can view which accounts are currently checked out and by whom. If required, they can force a check-in on any accounts. See Checkout.
Configure project settings
Configure the setting to adjust password complexity, enable password rotation schedule, and enable checkout.

On the Okta Privileged Access dashboard, go to .

Select the resource group that contains the project you want to configure.

Click the project that you want to configure.

Click the dropdown menu, and select Databases

Go to the Settings tab, and then complete the following. This configuration is per database instance in that project.

Click View to see the complexity of requirements for rotating passwords.
Schedule password rotation

Password rotation is enabled by default. Click Edit.

Under All accounts that support checkout, enter Amount. Then, select the Unit to set the frequency for password rotation.

Optional. To disable password rotation, clear Schedule password rotation for.

Click Save.
Checkout
Note:Only Okta Privileged Access security admins can configure this setting.

Click Edit. Checkout is enabled by default.

Under All accounts that support checkout, enter Amount. Then, select the Unit to set the frequency for password rotation.
