| Push new users |
- You can create new users in dbt Cloud when you assign the app to users in Okta.
- New users are in the invited state in dbt Cloud. They must accept the invitation and sign in to dbt Cloud to complete their account.
- You can assign a role only when entitlement management (OIG) is enabled.
- A role isn't required when you assign a new user. If you don't select a role, dbt Cloud doesn't assign one to the new user.
|
| Push profile updates |
- You can update user profile attributes in dbt Cloud when you modify them in Okta.
- You can update the first name, last name, and role (license type).
|
| Push user deactivation |
- When you deactivate a user or remove their access to the app in Okta, Okta deactivates the user in dbt Cloud.
|
| Import new users |
- Okta imports all active and invited users from dbt Cloud.
- If a user has no first name or last name in dbt Cloud, Okta sets the first name to the username during import. Okta sets the last name to LNU (Last Name Undefined).
|
| Import profile updates |
- You can manually import changes that you make to a user's profile in dbt Cloud into Okta.
|
| Push user reactivation |
- When you reactivate a user in Okta, Okta reactivates the user's account in dbt Cloud.
|
| Push groups |
- You can push groups and their members to dbt Cloud. See Manage Group Push.
- Invited group members appear in the dbt Cloud group UI only after they accept the invitation and sign in to dbt Cloud once, but they can still be added or removed from the groups through the API or Okta group push.
|
| Entitlement Management |
- This app supports entitlement management. Enable this feature if you use Okta Identity Governance.
- Okta supports all license types that your dbt Cloud tenant supports. See Seats and users in the dbt documentation.
- License availability depends on your tenant plan. The available seats are the ones listed under Manage users and usage on the dbt pricing page.
- If no seats or licenses remain, the dbt Cloud API returns an error and Okta displays it.
