Configure FleetDM provisioning with Okta

Enable provisioning for your FleetDM instance to integrate with Okta.

Before you begin

  • You have a FleetDM account with admin access to assign users with global roles.
  • You know the FleetDM instance base URL structure. For example, the FleetDM instance is https://<your-company-name>.fleetdm.com, the base URL is <your-company-name>.fleetdm.com.
  • You have the API token to authenticate requests to the FleetDM server. These tokens are linked to Fleet user accounts and you can obtain them in two ways:
    • In the FleetDM profile, go to My accountGet API token.
    • Send a request to the login API endpoint to retrieve your token.

Start this task

  1. In the Admin Console, go to ApplicationsApplications.

  2. Click Browse App Catalog.

  3. Search for and select the FleetDM app, and then click Add Integration.

  4. On the General tab, enter the Application label, Fleet instance base URL, and Entity ID. Add any placeholder for Entity ID if SSO isn't being used.

  5. Click Done.

  6. Go to the Provisioning tab, select Integration, and click Configure API Integration.

  7. Select Enable API Integration.

  8. Enter the Base URL and API Token.

  9. Click Test API Credentials.
  10. After FleetDM is successfully verified, click Save.

  11. Select To App under Settings. Click Edit, and then select the provisioning features that you want to enable.
  12. Click Save.
