Informatica Cloud supported features

This table lists the features and functionality that are available with an Informatica Cloud integration.

Feature Description
Push new users

Users created in Okta are sent an invite to access Informatica Cloud as a collaborator.

Here are some important things to note:

  • For government orgs, assign a role when you create a user. You can assign multiple roles to a single user.
  • For non-government orgs, the user is assigned the default Monitor role.
  • The following fields are required to create a user: Name, first name, last name, email, and roles.
Push profile updates

Updates to the Okta user profile are pushed to Informatica Cloud.

It's important to note these rules:

  • You can only update a user's role.

  • You can assign multiple roles to a user.

Push user deactivation

Users deactivated in Okta are also deactivated in Informatica Cloud.

Import new users You can import users created in Informatica Cloud into Okta.
Import profile updates Updates made to a user's profile in Informatica Cloud are downloaded and applied to the profile fields in Okta.
Push password updates

Changes to the user's password in Okta are pushed to Informatica Cloud.

The password must be at least nine characters long. It must contain at least three of the following four character types: Uppercase, lowercase, alphanumeric characters, and special characters.

Import user schema The user schema in the Informatica Cloud is imported into Okta.
Entitlement Management

You can manage app entitlements for Informatica Cloud in Okta.

If the app supports Okta Identity Governance, then you need to enable it to manage entitlements.

Push groups

You can push groups and their members to integrated apps. See Manage Group Push.

To effectively manage push groups, it's important to understand their default behaviors, lifecycle rules, and naming conventions:

  • When you create a group, all members are automatically assigned the Monitor role.

  • You can add or remove group members at any time.

  • You can't edit the Group Name or Description after a group is created.

  • Group names are case-insensitive. For example, TeamAlpha is treated the same as teamalpha. Special characters are supported.

  • Group linking isn't supported.
