Okta Verify for Windows release notes
Version 6.10.2. Deployed to Production on June 3, 2026.
Generally Available features
- Discontinued support for 32-bit Windows Okta Verify
The 32-bit version of Okta Verify for Windows is no longer available starting with version 6.10.2. This change ensures that all users benefit from the improved performance and security of the 64-bit architecture on Windows.
- User verification validation
If an end user's device posture or user verification (UV) settings don't satisfy their organization's sign-on policies, then Okta Verify guides the user through a self-service upgrade flow. This configures any required authentication methods such as biometrics or a PIN to unblock authentication, upgrade legacy enrollments, and reduce IT help desk tickets. This feature includes integrated Touch ID detection on macOS and Okta FastPass and Windows Hello support on Windows.
Fixes
-
Device registration failed if the machine couldn't communicate with the domain controller to verify its Security Identifier (SID). (OKTA-1142861)
-
When a VPN-connected laptop woke from sleep, the first authentication attempt sometimes failed at the sign-in screen. Okta Device Access now recognizes this network condition and retries the request automatically. (OKTA-1156687)
-
For orgs where password autofill was disabled, when users in the MFA bypass list attempted to sign in through their user tile or the Other User tile, the sign-in process failed. (OKTA-1194071)

This release also includes internal fixes and minor usability improvements.
