About rich SAML assertions and WS-Federation claims

Okta Universal Directory (UD) attributes can be sent in SAML assertions and WS-Federation claims. Apps can consume rich SAML assertions and WS-Federation claims to:

• Create rich user accounts in the app
• Update accounts with rich data
• Create complex authorization decisions

Only the Classic experience (formerly called the App Integration Wizard) and Template WS-Federation can send UD data.
