Create a permission for a file in Google Drive.

Options

Shared Drive?

Choose from Yes or No.

If Yes:

  • actions with files and folders are performed from a shared drive

  • Owner is not shown in the Permission Role dropdown

If No, actions with files and folders are performed from My Drive.

Type of user, group, domain, or Google Drive user who can interact with the specified document. Here are the available options:

  • User
  • Group
  • Domain
  • Anyone

Permission Role

Level of permissions the User, Group, Domain or Anyone can have with the specified document. Here are the available options:

  • Owner
  • Can Edit
  • Can Comment
  • Can View
