Authorization

When you add a Harmony SASE card to a flow for the first time, Okta Workflows prompts you to configure the connection. This connection links to your Harmony SASE account and saves your account information, so you can reuse the connection for future Harmony SASE flows.

You can create multiple unique connections and manage them from the Connections page in the Okta Workflows Console.

Before you begin

Ensure that you have the following before you create a connection:

  • Admin account: Access to a Harmony SASE account with administrator permissions.

  • API key: An active API key with the correct privileges (members and groups).

  • Region: The specific region and base URL where your integration is hosted.

Generate a Harmony SASE API key

You must generate an API Key in the Harmony SASE console to authorize the connection.

  1. Sign in to Harmony SASE as an admin.

  2. Go to Settings > API Support.

  3. Click Generate New Key.

  4. Enter a key name and select an expiration date.

  5. In the Key Permissions section, grant the following privileges:

    1. Members: Required to add, view, and delete members.

    2. Groups: Required to add, view, delete, and manage group memberships.

If you use Custom API Action cards, you must grant specific permissions required by the target API endpoints.

  6. Click Generate.

  7. Copy and save the API Key value. You need this to configure the connector.

Identify your region URL

Determine the region for your Harmony SASE account. You need to select the region domain that matches your base URL during configuration.
