Authorization
When you add a Lucidchart card to a flow for the first time, Okta Workflows prompts you to configure the connection. This connection links to your Lucidchart account and saves your account information, so you can reuse the connection for future Lucidchart flows.
You can create multiple unique connections and manage them from the Connections page in the Okta Workflows Console.

You must have an active Lucidchart account with the appropriate licensing.
-
REST API Key: Requires a licensed Lucidchart account and access to developer tools.

SCIM Bearer Token: Requires a Lucidchart Enterprise subscription with automatic team upgrades and SCIM enabled.

Create a Lucidchart connection
To create a Lucidchart connection in Okta Workflows, perform the following steps:
- In the Okta Workflows Console, go to Connections.

- In the Name field, enter a unique name for the connection.
Including the creation date or purpose in the name (for example, Lucidchart - IT Admin - 2024) helps distinguish between multiple accounts.
-
Optional. In the Description field, enter a description for the connection.
-
Enter the REST API Key that you generated in your Lucidchart account.
-
Enter the SCIM Bearer Token that you generated in your Lucidchart account.
-
In the Connection User Type dropdown, select the permission level for this connection:
-
Admin: Allows the connector to access and manage data across the entire organization (for example, retrieving all users or teams).
-
User: Restricts the connector to actions that the authenticated user has permission to perform.
-
- Click Create.
