Authorization

When you add a Tenable Vulnerability Management card to a flow for the first time, Okta Workflows prompts you to configure the connection. This connection links to your Tenable Vulnerability Management account and saves your account information, so you can reuse the connection in future Tenable Vulnerability Management flows.

You can create multiple unique connections and manage them from the Connections page in the Okta Workflows Console.

Before you begin

You need the following to create a Tenable Vulnerability Management connection:

  • Tenable Vulnerability Management account with an admin role

  • Access key and secret key pair that's generated using the admin account

Generate an API key

  1. Sign in to Tenable. See My Account.
  2. In the left panel, click API Keys. The API Keys section appears.
  3. In the bottom right, click Generate. The Generate API Keys dialog appears.
  4. Click Continue.

The existing API keys are replaced with the new ones when you click Continue. You must update the apps where the previous API keys are used.

New access and secret keys are generated and displayed in the Custom API Keys section.

  5. Copy the new access and secret keys to a safe location.

You must copy the keys before closing the API Keys tab. After you close this tab, the keys can't be retrieved.

See Tenable Vulnerability Management documentation to Generate API Keys.
