Modify campaign's end date
As a super admin or an access certifications admin, you can change when an active campaign ends to increase or decrease the campaign's duration. Changing the end date of a campaign is useful when aligning with business requirements, adjusting for holidays, giving extra time to reviewers.
You might want to end an active campaign in some of these scenarios:
- You need to relaunch the campaign with a different configuration.
- Most of the reviews have been completed and the remaining items don't need to be reviewed.
- There's an error in the campaign.
When decreasing the campaign's duration, remember that the total campaign duration must be at least three days or 30 minutes from the present time. For example, your campaign began on the 1st at 9:00am. On the 2nd, you decide you need to end the campaign. The earliest you can end it is on the 4th at 9:00am. However, if it's 11:00am on the 5th and you decide to end the campaign that day, then the earliest you can end the campaign is 11:30am on the 5th.
When increasing the campaign's duration, you can increase it up to 90 days or to one day before the campaign's next recurrence begins.
For example, you have a recurring campaign series where one campaign ends on the 15th and the next one begins on the 28th. You can increase the campaign duration of the first campaign up to the 27th. However, if your campaigns recurr at an interval of more than 90 days, then you can only increase a campaign's duration such that the total duration of the campaign is 90 days.
While scheduling the campaign, the remediation options that you configure affect what happens when the campaign ends. If you select Remove from resource as the remediation option for when the reviewer doesn't respond and then manually end the campaign, the system removes all those users from the resource whose access certification wasn't reviewed. See Understand remediation.
