Okta integration

Integrate Identity Security Posture Management with your Okta org using an API service integration. You can use the integration to retrieve data from Okta.

Add an API service integration

  1. In the Identity Security Posture Management console, go to SettingsSources gallery.

    1. Select Okta.

    2. Enter a Source name.

    3. Click Create Okta connector.

    4. Copy and save the ISPM ID. You'll need it later.

  2. Sign in to the Okta Admin Console as a super admin.

  3. In the Admin Console, go to ApplicationsAPI Service Integrations.

    Don't add the integration from the the App Integration Catalog page.

  4. Click Add Integration.

  5. Search and select Okta Identity Security Posture Management and click Next.

  6. Scroll down to the App Properties section:

    1. In the ISPM ID field, paste the ISPM ID from the Okta integration form on your ISPM console.

      If the Okta integration form on your ISPM console doesn't contain the ISPM ID, leave both Base URI and ISPM ID blank.

    2. From the Base URI dropdown list, select Production.

  7. Scroll down and click Install & Authorize. Depending on your Okta org version and your configurations, you may see a warning message. This is expected and will not impact this integration.

  8. On the Required: Copy your client secret dialog, click Close. You don't need to copy the client secret for the app.

  9. From the service app's General tab, copy the Client ID and Okta Domain values.

Share the parameters with ISPM

  1. In the Identity Security Posture Management console, go to SettingsSources gallery.

  2. Select Okta.
  3. Enter your Okta domain URL (https://your-company.okta.com) and client ID that you copied earlier.
  4. Click Submit.
