Reassign review items
Admins and reviewers (who aren't admins) can reassign a review item to another user. Reassigning a review item doesn't extend the campaign's end date. The new reviewer must approve or revoke access before the campaign ends.
Only super admins can reassign reviews for a campaign that governs Okta admin roles. Govern Okta admin roles is an Early Access feature. However, if you're subscribed to Okta Identity Governance, it's generally available.
Multilevel reviews are reassigned at the current review level. For example, a reviewers reassigns a review item for a first-level reviewer. The new reviewer is considered as the first-level reviewer. The original second-level reviewer remains the same.
When the campaign has self-reviews disabled, admins can't approve, revoke, or reassign their own review item.
Before you begin
- If reassigning reviews aren't allowed for a campaign, reviewers can't reassign a review item from the Okta Access Certifications Reviews app. Super or access certifications admins can still reassign review items from the campaign's page in the Admin Console.
- Reviewers who aren't super or access certification admins must have at least one item assigned to them in an active campaign to reassign it.
- Sign in as a super admin to reassign review items for a campaign that governs admin roles.
Start this task
- On the End-User Dashboard, click Okta Access Certification Reviews.
- On the My reviews page, go to the Open tab, and select an access certification campaign.
- Select one or more review items to reassign to a new reviewer and click Reassign. Select review items individually to reassign them to different users. Only super or access certification admins can reassign items that are assigned to a group or group owner for review.
- Select the reviewer that the review items should be assigned to. If the campaign creator has selected the Disable self-review option for the campaign, neither you nor reviewers can select a user as the reviewer for their own review item.
- Enter a business justification for the reassignment.
- Click Reassign.
If the campaign owner has set up email notifications, the new reviewer is notified that review items have been assigned to them and view the business justification for the change.
After reviewers reassign a review item, they can view it from the Closed tab of My Campaigns page. Reviewing the reassignment history of previously reviewed items is helpful when they aren't sure who they should reassign an open review item to.
