Access request notifications

Okta sends the following notifications for Access Requests:

Notification name Description Notified by Request managed by Who receives it
Request summary and updates Summary of the request and updates as the request changes over time. Updates include task assignee actions, request approval, and request resolution. Email, Slack, Microsoft Teams Conditions and request types Requester, task(step) assignee, and request followers
Request expiry warning A request expires if there's no activity in it for 60 days. This notification is sent 30 days, five days, and one day before the request expires. Email, Slack, Microsoft Teams Conditions and request types Requester, task assignee (only if the task is still open)
Access ending warning* Sent one day and one hour before access ends. Based on access duration in conditions. Email, Slack, Microsoft Teams Conditions Requester
Access ends* Sent when access is revoked. Contains a link to request the resource again. Email, Slack, Microsoft Teams Conditions Requester
Export complete Sent when data export initiated from Settings is complete. Includes download link. Email N/A User (access requests or super admin) who initiated export
Added to Team Tells a user that they have been added to a team. Email Request types User being added to team
Request type disabled Notifies members when request types reference deleted resources, invalid roles, or disabled integrations. Email Request types All members of the team that owns the request type

* These notifications are based on access duration configured in conditions and not dependent on access being revoked through access certification campaign, security access review, or other methods.

In addition to these, Okta also sends a Delegate assigned notification when a user assigns another user as their delegate.
