Integrate DocuSign with Okta
Follow these steps to integrate the DocuSign app with your Okta org.
- Locate and record the DocuSign API account ID:
- Sign in to your DocuSign instance with admin credentials.
- Select Settings from the top of the screen. If Settings is unavailable, open the menu () and select eSignature.
- Click Apps and Keys in the Integrations section.
- Copy the API Account ID value.
- If you already added the DocuSign app to Okta, go to step 3. If you haven't added it, add it now:
In the Admin Console, go to .
- Click Browse App Catalog.
- Search for and select DocuSign, and then click Add Integration.
- Complete the fields on the General Settings page and then click Next.
- In the Sign on methods section of the Sign-On Options page, select a sign-on option. If you select SAML 1.1 or SAML 2.0, click View Setup Instructions and follow the instructions.
- Click Done.

In the Admin Console, go to .
- Select your DocuSign instance from the list of app.
- Click the Provisioning tab and then click Configure API Integration.
- Select Enable API integration.
- In the API Account ID field, enter the API account ID that you copied earlier.
An incorrect API account ID is often the reason for error messages that are displayed when authenticating with DocuSign. Make sure the API account ID and DocuSign admin credentials match.
- Generate the authentication token:
- Click Authenticate with DocuSign.
- Click Accept if a prompt appears.
- If required, enter your email address and click CONTINUE.
- If required, enter your password and click LOG IN.
- Optional. Clear the Import Groups checkbox if you don't want to import groups.
- Click Save.

Optional. Change the Okta to DocuSign provisioning settings:
- Click the Provisioning tab and select To App in the Settings list.
- Click Edit.
- Select any combination of the Create Users, Update User Attributes, and Deactivate Users checkboxes to enable their respective functionality.
- Click Save.
- Optional. Change the DocuSign to Okta provisioning settings:
- Click the Provisioning tab and select To Okta in the Settings list.
- Click Edit in the General, User Creation & Matching, or Import Safeguard areas to edit the settings.
- Click Save.
- Optional. Assign users to the DocuSign app. See Assign applications to users.
When you assign the DocuSign app to users, you can indicate if they can send envelopes and identify their permissions.
