Integrate MongoDB Atlas with Okta

Enable provisioning for the MongoDB Atlas app instance to integrate with Okta.

Before you begin

  • You have a MongoDB Atlas organization and an account with Organization Owner (ORG_OWNER) privileges.
  • You have a MongoDB Atlas Service Account with a Client ID and Client Secret. MongoDB Atlas uses OAuth 2.0 Client Credentials to authenticate the integration.
  • You have your MongoDB Atlas Organization ID.
  • You have permission to manage apps in Okta.

Procedure

  1. In the Admin Console, go to Applications > Applications.
  2. Click Browse App Catalog.
  3. Search for and select MongoDB Atlas, and then click Add Integration.
  4. On the General tab, enter the Application label.
  5. Click Done.
  6. Go to the Provisioning tab, click Integration, and then click Configure API Integration.
  7. Select Enable API Integration.
  8. Enter your Organization ID, Client ID, and Client Secret.
  9. Click Test API Credentials.
  10. When the authorization process is complete, click Save.
  11. Select To App under Settings. Click Edit, and then select the provisioning features that you want to enable.
  12. Click Save.
