Integrate Progress Chef with Okta

Enable provisioning for the Progress Chef app instance to integrate with Okta.

Before you begin

  • You generated an API access key and secret key for your Progress Chef organization using the Chef Platform Auth CLI.
  • You have your Progress Chef tenant URL.
  • You have permission to manage apps in Okta.

Procedure

  1. In the Admin Console, go to Applications > Applications.
  2. Click Browse App Catalog.
  3. Search for and select Progress Chef, and then click Add Integration.
  4. In General Settings, enter your Application label.
  5. Optional. If you use Okta Identity Governance, select Entitlement management.
  6. Click Done.
  7. Go to the Provisioning tab, click Integration, and then click Configure API Integration.
  8. Select Enable API Integration.
  9. Enter your Tenant URL, API Access Key, and API Secret Key.
    • Tenant URL: Enter your Progress Chef tenant domain without https://. For example, your-tenant.cloud.chef.io.
  10. Click Test API Credentials.
  11. When the authorization process is complete, click Save.
  12. Select To App under Settings. Click Edit, and then select the provisioning features that you want to enable.
  13. Click Save.
