Reset multifactor authentication for users

You can reset multifactor authentication (MFA) for single or multiple users. Resetting MFA means that the user's enrollment in their factors is canceled and they have to enroll in them again.

Reset all factors for one or multiple users

  1. In the Admin Console, go to DirectoryPeople.

  2. Click Reset multifactor.
  3. Select the users who you want to reset MFA for.
  4. Click Reset Multifactor Authentication. A confirmation prompt appears.
  5. Click Reset. This action can't be undone.

Reset factors for a single user

This action resets any factor that you select for an individual user only.

  1. In the Admin Console, go to DirectoryPeople.

  2. Click the user whose MFA you want to reset.
  3. Click More ActionsReset Multifactor.
  4. Select the factors that you want to reset, and then click either Reset Selected Factors or Reset All. A confirmation prompt appears.
  5. Click Reset. This action can't be undone.
