Include autonomous system numbers for dynamic zones

You can create a dynamic zone based on an autonomous system number (ASN) that uniquely identifies each network on the internet. An ASN represents an entire network of IP addresses.

Specifying an ASN can help you reduce overhead as an alternative to entering a list of multiple IP addresses.

Before you begin

Create a dynamic zone. See Create a dynamic zone for instructions.

Include ASNs for a dynamic zone

  1. In the Admin Console, go to SecurityNetworks.

  2. Select a dynamic zone and click Edit.
  3. In ISP ASNs, use the ASN Lookup tool to retrieve the ASN.
  4. Enter the ASN.
  5. To block ASNs, select Block access from IPs matching conditions listed in this zone.
  6. Click Save.

When you edit a network zone, wait approximately 60 seconds for the change to propagate across all servers and take effect.
