Configure user account

If you provide external applications where your end users can manage their personal information and passwords, edit the User Account section to configure redirect links and customize links and messages. End users access these links in the SettingsAccount menu.

When you're editing these settings, you must reauthenticate with a password and MFA (if configured) after 15 minutes.

  1. In the Admin Console, go to Settings > Customization. Select the General tab. Or, if you enabled Branding EA, go to Customizations > Other.
  2. Scroll to the User Account section.
  3. If your org uses more than one profile master, they appear in the User Identity Master drop-down box. Select the profile master that you want to link to, and then click Edit.
  4. Select Personal Information is managed by a different application.
    • Use the Custom Message and Custom link label fields to add a message or change the URL label.
    • In the Custom Link URL field, enter the website where you want to redirect uses to change their personal information.
  5. Select Password is managed by a different application.
    • Use the Custom Message and Custom link label fields to add a message or change the URL label.
    • In the Custom Link URL field, enter the website where you want to redirect uses to change their password.
    • In the Expired Password section, enter the name and Link URL of the website where users are redirected when they try to sign in to Okta with an expired password.
  6. Click Save.

Note

Don't use X-Frame-Options to host the custom personal information or change password flows that you configure in this section. Okta loads these flows as iframes.
