Upgrade the Sign-In Widget

Identity Engine supports Sign-In Widget version 5.11.0 and later. You can't upgrade to Identity Engine if your Sign-In Widget isn't up to date.

Before you begin

Determine if you need to manually upgrade the Sign-In Widget:

  • If your org embeds the Sign-In Widget and you don't have other customizations, no action is required. Your Sign-In Widget is automatically upgraded to the latest version when it's loaded from the content delivery network (CDN).

  • If your org configured a custom domain and has other customizations, you must manually update the Sign-In Widget before you upgrade to Identity Engine. Continue with the task.

Upgrade to version 5.11.0

  1. In the Admin Console, go to CustomizationsBrands.
  2. Select a brand.
  3. On the Pages tab in the sign-in page section, click Configure.
  4. In the Okta Sign-In Widget Version section, check that the Major Version is the highest version available and Minor .Version is the latest.

  5. If the version isn't correct, click Edit in the Okta Sign-In Widget Version section, and then select the Major Version and Minor Version fields.

  6. Click Save.

  7. Test your app's supported authentication, sign-up, and recovery flows to ensure that they still work.

  8. Verify the CSS and localization changes that you made are reflected in the new version.
