Delete Okta Verify on Linux devices

Remove Okta Verify from a Linux device.

About this task

You can delete the Okta Verify app from your Linux device at any time.

Procedure

  1. Remove all accounts from Okta Verify before you delete the app from your device.
    1. From a browser, open your Okta End-User Dashboard.
    2. Go to Settings > Security Methods and find the Okta Verify account that you want to delete.
    3. Select Remove. Repeat this step for each Okta Verify account on the device.
  2. Use your Linux package manager or terminal to uninstall Okta Verify.
  3. Optional: Confirm that Okta Verify was deleted from the device.
    1. In a browser, go to the Okta End-User Dashboard.
    2. Select your username in the upper-right corner of the page, and then select Settings.
    3. In the Security Methods section, under Okta Verify, verify that the applicable device isn't listed.
      If it is, select Remove.
