Authorization

When you add a OneTrust card to a flow for the first time, you'll be prompted to set up a connection for that channel. Setting up a connection will allow you to connect the flow to your OneTrust account, save the data, and reuse that connection the next time you build a flow with this card.

You can create multiple unique connections and manage them from the Connections page in the Okta Workflows Console.

Create OAuth 2.0 OneTrust client credentials

  1. On your account page, click the gear icon in the upper right to access Global Settings.

  2. From the Global Settings menu, select Credentials.

  3. Click Add. The Add Client Credential page appears.

  4. In the Client Credentials section, add a value in the Name field for the client credential.

The name cannot be modified once the client credential is created.

  1. Optionally, in the Description field, enter a description for the client credential.

  2. Optionally, in the Access Token Lifetime field, select the amount of time that should pass before the access token expires. Options are 1 Hour, 1 Day, 1 Week, 1 Month, and 1 Year.

  3. Optionally, turn on the Restrict IP Addresses setting to restrict incoming communication to specific IP addresses. If this setting is enabled, enter an IP address in the Restrict IP Addresses field that appears. You can enter multiple IP addresses by clicking the Add icon button and entering an additional IP address in the field that appears.

  4. Click Next.

  5. In the Scope section, select one or multiple check boxes to indicate the scope that matches the level of access you want to grant to an application.

  6. Click Create.

  7. In the Client ID and Secret section, from the Download Credential field, click Download. A .txt file containing the Client ID and Client Secret details will download to your local system.

  8. Click Close. You're created your OAuth app.

Create a OneTrust connection

  1. From the Connections page or a OneTrust card, click New Connection. The New Connection dialog appears.

  2. Add a Connection Nickname. This is useful if you plan to create multiple connections to share with your team.

  3. In the Endpoint field, enter your endpoint (including https:// but excluding everything after .com).

  4. In the Client ID and Client Secret fields, enter your Client ID and Client Secret values from the previously created OAuth app.

  5. Click Create.

You can reuse this connection any time that you use the OneTrust card in a flow. You can also set up and save multiple connections to share them with your teammates.
