Get File Permissions

Look up the permission settings of a particular user for a particular file.

Options

Field Definition Type Required
Is case sensitive Search? By comparing user data and permissions, Yes indicates that no change will be made to any value in the search results from Google Drive when comparing user data and permissions; No (default) indicates that each permission property will be formatted to lower case and then compared to the user value.

Search By Email (default) retrieves permissions by email address; Domain retrieves permissions by domain value; Anyone selects the first permission with type anyone (results are not affected by the values from the Is case sensitive Search? dropdown).
Note

If Anyone is selected, no input field will appear in the card's input section. This option will not require any specific search criteria.

File

File ID Unique ID of the file. The ID of a file can be found by navigating to the Google Drive web. Right-click on the file and select get sharable link. The File ID is the last part of that link, after id=. Example: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1avkd2a. Make sure to select the entire ID (about 20 characters long).

Alternatively, use the Search Files action card to find the file by name. See Search Files. The Search Files card has a File ID output field that can be dragged into this input field.
