Authorization
When you add a Trend Micro card to a flow for the first time, Okta Workflows prompts you to configure the connection. This connection links to your Trend Micro account and saves your account information, so you can reuse this connection for future Trend Micro flows.
You can create multiple unique connections and manage them from the Connections page in the Okta Workflows Console.
Before you begin
To create a Trend Micro connection, you need an API key with a predefined or custom role with the following permissions:

Create a custom role
Okta recommends using this custom role solely for assigning to the API Keys required for creating Trend Micro connections in Okta Workflows.

Sign in to the Trend Micro console with an admin account.

Go to .

To add a custom user role, click + Add role. The Create custom role window appears.

Under General information, enter the role name and description. Okta recommends the following settings for control flags for this custom role:

Can be assigned to API keys: YES

Can be assigned to user accounts: NO

Under Permissions, select the required permissions to grant to the role.

Generate a Trend Micro API key
Okta recommends using this API key solely for creating Trend Micro connections in Okta Workflows.

Sign in to Trend Micro console with an admin account.

Go to .

Click Add API Key.

Enter the details for the API Key:

Name - Enter a name for this API Key.
-
Role - Choose the custom role that you created.
-
Expiration Time - The time the API key remains valid.

Description - Enter a description for this API key.

Status - Keep it enabled.

Under Permissions, select the required permissions to grant to the role.

Start this task
To create a Trend Micro connection in Okta Workflows complete the following steps:

Open the Connections tab in the Workflows Console or open a Trend Micro card.

Click New Connection.
-
Enter a connection Name. This is useful if you plan to create multiple connections to share with your team.

Enter a connection Description. This is useful to have more information regarding your connection.

In the API Key field, enter the API key value.
- In the Region field, select the region of your Trend Micro server.

Click Create.
To delete a Trend Micro connection in Okta Workflows complete the following steps:

Sign in to the Workflows Console as an admin.

Click Connections.
-
Select the Trend Micro connection that you want to delete and click Delete.
Okta recommends using a different API Key for each connection. When you delete a Trend Micro connection from the Workflows Console, the API key used to create the connection is deleted from Trend Micro.
