Assign User Roles

Grant one or more user roles for a specific user in CrowdStrike.

User ID

Unique identifier of the user.

You can't assign multiple user IDs.

CID

The customer ID of the CrowdStrike user.

For Falcon Complete Cloud Security customers, if you're making requests through a parent customer ID, use the CID value to specify the child customer ID where you want to make the update.

A user ID may have the same role assigned in multiple parent or child customer IDs. Assigning a CID value ensures that the user role is granted or revoked in the correct customer ID.

The ID of the role you want to assign.

You can enter multiple Role IDs as a comma-separated list of text.

You can use the List User Roles IDs card to find all available role IDs for your CrowdStrike org.

Result

Status Code

Result of the operation. The connector returns an HTTP status code that indicates whether the action taken by the card succeeded or failed. For example:

  • A 201 Created status code indicates success where a new resource was created.
  • A 403 Forbidden error indicates that the HTTP request wasn't processed because the necessary permissions were missing.
