| Push new users |
- You must assign at least one role to a user before you assign the app to them. If you assign the app to a user without a role, the create operation fails, and Okta doesn't create the user in Sumo Logic.
- The Email and Username values must be the same for a user. Sumo Logic identifies a user by their email address and doesn't keep a separate username. Set the application username format to Email to keep the two values in sync.
|
| Push profile updates |
- Okta pushes changes to the first name, last name, or assigned roles to Sumo Logic on the next update.
- Provisioning doesn't update other attributes, including the email address.
|
| Push user deactivation |
- When you deactivate a user in Okta or remove their app assignment, Okta deactivates the account in Sumo Logic instead of deleting it.
- When you reactivate or reassign the user in Okta, Okta restores the same account instead of creating a new one.
|
| Import new users |
- Okta imports users from Sumo Logic.
- You can bring existing Sumo Logic accounts under Okta management. Match them to existing Okta users or create Okta users.
|
| Entitlement Management |
- You can assign multiple roles to a user. Okta manages Sumo Logic roles as entitlements.
- When a user holds multiple roles, Sumo Logic grants the highest level of access across all of them.
