Disable Federation Broker Mode

This is an Early Access feature. To enable it, contact Okta Support.

Disable Federation Broker Mode when it is no longer required, or you want to manage app access using sign-on policies or app authorization rules.

If you have a large number of group assignments, disabling Federation Broker Mode can consume substantial processing resources and take a significant time to complete.

  1. In the Admin Console, go to Applications > Applications.
  2. Optional. Enter the application name in the Search field.

  3. Click an application name in the list of applications.
  4. Click the Sign On tab.
  5. Scroll down to the Federation Broker Mode area.
  6. Click Disable Federation Broker Mode, review the confirmation statement in the Federation Broker Mode dialog box, and click Disable Federation Broker Mode.

Federation Broker Mode is not disabled immediately. Until the background process is complete, the app remains in Federation Broker Mode to ensure that your end users do not lose app access. When the process is completed, hidden tabs and user assignments are restored.
