Restore Okta Verify on the same Android device

If you reset your device, deleted Okta Verify, or deleted your account from the app, you might be able to restore your account. Some restrictions apply.

In a browser, kick off a new Okta Verify enrollment from the dashboard Settings page

  1. From a browser, sign in to your organization's Okta End-User Dashboard. If you can't sign in, contact your company's help desk.
  2. Click the arrow next to your name and go to Settings.
  3. If the Edit Profile button appears, click it.
  4. Scroll down to Extra Verification. In some organizations, this section is called Security Methods.
    • If Okta Verify is in the Security methods section, click Set up another. Click Set up to confirm that you're setting up Okta Verify and follow the instructions.
    • If Okta Verify is in the Extra Verification section, click Remove. When prompted to confirm removal, click Yes and follow the instructions. In the Okta Verify row, click Set up and follow the prompts.

Install Okta Verify and add your account

  1. Go to your device. If you don't have Okta Verify, download it from Google Play and install it.
  2. Open the app and tap Add account.
  3. Follow the instructions to set up your account.

Your device is now enrolled with Okta Verify and you can use it to sign in to your organization's apps protected by Okta.
