Manage application essentials

Application essentials define the basic elements of an application.

To manage application attributes:

  1. Go to the Access Gateway Admin UI console.
  2. From the Topology tab or the Applications tab, open the application.
  3. Select the Settings pane.
  4. Expand Essentials.
  5. Make changes as required and save.

The Essentials pane contains the information that's required by all applications.

Depending on the type of application, the Essentials pane may include additional application-specific fields.

The Essentials pane includes:

Field Description
Label The name of the application. The tile name in Okta tenant.
Public Domain The URL of the domain entered by users to gain access to this application. It must be in DNS.
Protected Web Resource Before Access Gateway version 2022.2.3: The URL of the web resource that's being protected.

Access Gateway version 2022.2.3 and later: Wee Application-protected web resources.

Post Login URL Optional. Default URL that users are directed to on successful authentication. Defaults to Public Domain.

The hostname must match that of the Public Domain field.

Groups Okta org groups that are granted access to the application.
Description Optional. The application description.
Certificate Optional. Assign or remove a certificate from an application. See Associate certificates.
