AI agent profile sourcing
An AI agent profile source is the provider app where an AI agent's identity originates. When you import AI agents from a provider app, Okta automatically captures their external data to build a governable profile in the Universal Directory.
Okta manages AI agent profiles using three types of attributes:
- Base attributes: Built-in fields that every AI agent has (like Name and Description)
- Custom attributes: Standard fields you define for all AI agents in your org (like Agent type or Creator)
- Extendable attributes: Provider app-specific details that Okta captures automatically when importing the agent
When extendable attributes are imported into Okta, you can map them to your standard custom attributes. This creates a consistent, searchable directory that your security and governance teams can rely on to create access policies.
