Map AI agent attributes to Okta

Map attributes from a provider app to the Okta AI agent profile.

About this task

Mapping AI agent attributes to Okta helps you manage how information flows from the AI agent provider app into the Okta Universal Directory. When you configure attributes for a provider app, you decide which fields map to the Okta AI agent profile and how they’re synced.

Note: All required attributes in the Okta AI agent profile must be mapped to an attribute in the provider app. If a required field isn’t mapped, all future imports from the provider app fail.

Before you begin

You have an admin role with permission to manage your org’s AI agents.
You’ve enabled AI agent imports for the provider app. See Enable AI agent imports for an app.
If you want to import attributes that are mapped to custom attributes from the provider app, you’ve added those attributes to the Okta AI agent profile. See Configure the Okta AI agent profile.
If you want to use the Okta Expression Language (OEL) for source attribute values, you understand its syntax. See Okta Expression Language overview.

Procedure

In the Admin Console, go to Directory > AI Agent Providers.
Select an AI agent provider.
Click Attributes. The AI agent attribute page opens, displaying the base and custom attributes that you configured in the Okta AI agent profile.
To map an attribute, enter an OEL expression or select an attribute from the dropdown list. Then click the green arrow and select Apply mapping for create and update.
If you don’t want to map an optional attribute, click the green arrow and select Do not map.
Click Save and sync attributes to Okta.
