Reassign review items in staging

Reassign review items to ensure that the correct reviewers are assigned.

About this task

Early Access release. See Enable self-service features.

After you stage a campaign, reassign its review items to different reviewers in the staged campaign view before the campaign launches. Use this to resolve reviewer assignment issues that staging surfaced, including reassigning items assigned to users who shouldn't be a part of the review (for example, some executives). Reassignments that you make during staging carry forward when the campaign launches.

Before you begin

  • Sign in as a super admin or an access certifications admin. Only super admins can reassign review items for a campaign that governs Okta admin roles.
  • Stage the campaign. See Stage a campaign.
  • If the campaign disables self-review, you can't reassign a review item to yourself.

Procedure

  1. In the Admin Console, go to Identity Governance > Access Certifications > Certification campaigns.
  2. Go to the Scheduled tab, find the staged campaign, and click Open staged campaign.
  3. Optional. Use the search and filter options to find the review items that you want to reassign.
  4. Select one or more review items and click Reassign.

You can select multiple review items and bulk reassign them to the same reviewer. If a review item is assigned to a group or to multiple reviewers at the same level, you can reassign it to a single reviewer.

For multi-level campaigns, you can reassign a review item at any level. The reassignment applies only to the review item's current level; reviewers at other levels are unaffected.

  5. Select the reviewer that the review items should be assigned to.
  6. Enter a business justification for the reassignment.
  7. Click Reassign.

Okta tracks the reassigned review items so that you can filter for them and track which review items still need attention before launch. Use the Staged Campaign Details report to review all reassignments made during staging. Allow time for recent changes to appear in the report, and confirm that the staged version shown on the campaign's page matches the version in the report.
