Upgrade your org using app branding migration

To begin your upgrade to Identity Engine, complete the action items in the Identity Engine Upgrade Hub and schedule your upgrade.

About this task

Your org upgrades to Identity Engine as a whole, but app branding migration keeps your existing apps and brands on the Classic Engine. You can then move them to the Identity Engine pipeline one app at a time, on your own schedule.

Before you begin

  • Your org must have at least one app using a customized, Okta-hosted sign-in page. Check the Identity Engine Upgrade Hub in the Admin Console to confirm whether your org is eligible for app branding migration.

Procedure

  1. In the Admin Console, go to Dashboard > OIE Upgrade Hub.
  2. Complete the required acknowledgment and configuration action items. Update your configuration according to each action item, and then acknowledge its completion.
  3. Select a date and time for the upgrade.
  4. Check for an email confirmation. All admins in your org receive an email about the upgrade.
  5. After the scheduled upgrade, sign in to your org and explore Identity Engine.
