Configure interface updates

Interface updates help users in your org get familiar with the Okta Personal dashboard and understand which apps are classified as personal. They can also instruct users where to save their credentials when accessing a new app.

  • A dashboard account switcher is added to the menu so that users can quickly switch between Okta Workforce and Okta Personal.

  • Okta Personal banners and plugin prompts can appear when users interact with the dashboard, the browser plugin, or new personal apps.

Interface updates are enabled by default, but you can turn them off if you prefer to manage your own communication about Okta Personal.

Before you begin

You must be a super admin or an org admin, or have customizations permissions.


  1. In the Admin Console, go to CustomizationsOkta Personal.

  2. Click Edit in the End-user interface updates section.

  3. Turn the Enable end-user interface updates toggle on or off.

  4. Click Save.
